relocating tailgate handle

hey, im new on here. have any of you guys relocated the stock tailgate handle to the insde of the tail gate? if so, who you be able to give me a bit of a run down on how you did it? cheers

you have to turn your rods upside down in the tailgate to match the handle, since the handle is on the other side now. You can weld it in place with the plate you cut out or you can make it oversized to bolt it in. Or you can buy a handle relocator

easiest and chepest way is the way matt said. just:
1. flip the rods
2. cut a hole in the other side and bolt the handle there
3. weld in the exisitng spot

its all good guys, got it all hooked up and working. now to shave the hole on the outside! thanks for the help guys

Be really carefull if you decide to weld it...it will warp really easily.

i tacked mine little by little. and waited for it to cool before i went on with more of it. just take your time...
