removing a bed side

how do i remove my driver side bed side? cause its damaged and i want to replace it rather than get a new bed

i heard something about drilling out the welds, and it should slip right off??? never done it or seen it done tho sorry........

drill the spot welds out and it should come off with a lil work i am in the process of taking my 2x4 sides off and putting 4x4 sides on the 2x4 bed
i am doing this because it is hard to find cab plus 4x4 beds around here and i have acces to all the tools to do it

get you some of these thay work great



just take that and drill out the spot welds and since you wont drill all the way you can just put the new skin on and weld away. you can do it with a reg drill bit but that goes all the way through and might make it a bit of a pain to fix back

does nebody have pics of a bed w/o the bed side

drill out the welds, I wish I saw this wed. we did one at the shop
