Has anyone used or know of anyone who has "Protocol" brand solenoids for thier doors? They're 45 pounders I can get a pretty decent deal on them but I'm not familiar with that brand.
Thanks
Greg

Don't go cheap on the solenoids. Try'd that and after burning out 3 sets I spent the money on 50 LBS auto Loc ones. Haven't had a problem with them in 4 years.

i ripped mine out of a lincoln trunk latch, mounted it underneath the latch, whitch makes it near impossible to break in, havent had problems with them ever and i drive mine daily all summer....

I'm going to use some rear window poppers from a square body style chevy blazer. They are the same size as 35lb poppers plus I get them free from teh salvage yard. I have heard other people running these forever without any problems so I'll give it a try. I'll post a pic of one later
