z71 direct fit?

so, i'm interested in putting z71s on my truck. and i've been reading in the forums that my options are to either bore out the wheels, or to grind off the tabs on the hubs. today i was at my local les schwab pricing tires for the z71s, and the salesman that was helping me told me that i didn't even have to do any modifications to the wheels if i wanted to put them on my truck. I just wanted to know if the salesman is right or not. I'm not planning on bagging my truck, i'm just going to put 3" blocks in the back and crank down on the torsions in the front. should i listen to the guy at les schwab or not?

homeboy is wrong. he probably thinks since it is the same bolt pattern that it will bolt up. the hub sizes are different, i suggest getting the centers bored out when you get them

i even asked him about the size difference between the chevy and mazda hubs, but he still said that they would fit. What a retard. where can I get the wheels bored out at?

go to a local machine shop

hey man, you can bore them out yourself with a drill and a hole saw for a hell of alot cheaper than getting them machined

Ghetto, just grind the tabs...

just rember if you grind the tabs its very hard to get stock rims to fit right again but if you plan to keep the z71 rims then grind the tabs

I had the same yukon rims and mine came off an 02.

not sure what mine are off of, they come off of yukons or sierras, pretty much GMC

yea if you plan on keeping the Z71s on there you can just grind the tabs down, the chevy wheels are lug-centric, so no need for the center hub. problem is the stock wheels are hub-centric, so they may wobble if you dont mount them right, but it's not hard to mount them right
