whats up i need a couple of ?s answered?

1) i wanna change my front end to something totally different. i was thinkin the lincoln aviator or something completly crazy like escalade or colorado or tahoe, or maybe dodge ram! to do this i know ill have to do alot of modifying! with any front end what would i have to do besides the obvious? will i need a new core support?

2) i have no idea what i want with my front end any suggestions? i do know i wanna do something crazy and original.

3) this 1 may sound dumb, but what is the difference between a regular 4-link and a reverse 4-link?

I think the front ends your picking are way to large... (even after being sectioned, narrowed etc) they will just look to bulky in my opinion.

I think they will really look outta place too.

One of the nicest front ends i've seen on a mazda is a 2000 frontier front end... I think it suits the truck really well.

The key i think is to choose something that looks like it shuold be there, you'ev got to sit back and look at the lines, and shape of the truck and work with that.... throwing a escalade front end on there will kill it... the headlights are monsterous!!!

Take your time and really think about it... get a rendering done or something it'll help you.

As for the reverse and forward 4-link question... well its pretty obivious by their names.... forward 4-link all the bars are in front of the axle (closer to the cab) reverse... they are behind the axle... I wouldn't run a reverse, or forward/reverse link setup if it was the death of me... sure they work, but I don't like it.

good luck with whatever you do......

i've found that front end conversions usually look strange because; someone takes an older truck and puts a newer front end

thus giving the square body and round nose look.

cars on the other hand usually look better because you can just swap the headlights with minor work instead of the whole front clip.

i think whats key to doing a front end conversion, is keeping the fenders and hood the same. you dont want to mes up the body lines that are coming from the back, and then you def cant replace the hood if u keep the mazda fenders.
that why i love that frontier conversion. it has all the lights, grille, and bottom bumper to it.
