cuttin the top off

i was thinkin about makin my truck a covertible. theres one or 2 ppl where i live with this done(actually one of them lives in north caroline, he was just down here with family or somethin). anyway, i want to know how to go about doin this. how much does it cost, what do i need, can i still keep my stock front windshield? i really want to do this cause 1, its cool lookin and 2, ide have the only mazda with it. thanls for anyhelp

o yeah, the cheapest way, i know there prolly are some kits but can i use anything from like a local hardware store(rubber seals, lock, etc.)

I saw one once at the salvage yard with the removeable top kit on it. It definately belonged there.

yeah you really neeed to take your time, measure measure measure, and be very carefull when cutting, i'll be upset if we findout i cut more than i wanted

i had my truck as a conert. for over 7 years..the truck got parked in 1997 and i just recently started to work on it....i have to start all over...i removed the carpet and seats which to a beating from the florida sun.there is a good 13in hole under the dr.
seat and a lot of rust.....but i am thinking of doing it again.....

still havnt had too much help yet, but i need some cause im on spring break this week and ide really like to get it done. i only have one real problem...i dont know what to do with this tops of the doors. i cant leave them on cause it would look ugly but i cant weld them to the roof case then i wouldnt be able to shut/open the door with the windows up. how can i get past this
