Anyone have suggestions on door solenoids? I shaved my doors just recently. I'm using autoloc stuff right now and am finding not only does thier warranty and customer service suck but the things aren't all that reliable.
What are you using and what size 35lb, 45lb etc...

i have an autoloc 8 channel set up on mine and never had a problem with it...

I'm going to use back window poppers from a square body style blazer. I'll see if I can find one and take a pic of it. I put some on my buddys full size chevy and they are plenty strong enough to pop his latches. And they're cheap at the salvage yards.

i have spal poppers on my truck, a little more pricey than autoloc but much more heavy duty, they are 50 lb solenoids and work like a champ, they work off sealed magnets so they cant rust and corrode like other ones out there are known for

i just have the 15 lb solenoids from autoloc. if you mount them in the right place they work fine.

50 pound solenoids is a definite over kill on a mazda door, 35 pound solenoids are to but thats what people usually run on mazda doors, which is what i got.

50 lbs isnt overkill when you have fiberglass door panels and full dynamat on the inner and outer skin of the door

thats tru but it wasnt stated in the original thread

I have 45lbs right now and they seem a little much. I might switch to 35. I'm sure they're a lot smaller too.

sorry post police, next time i will read through my posts and make sure that i have every bit of information that pertains to the questions at hand, i also have 8 gauge wire running to the solenoid and it is grey in color, lol just kidding man, the only down size to them is they are so freakin huge, they push the panels out a little bit
