Hey guys is there a way of installing a power antenna on a 1992 Mazda B2200? In the same spot the Antenna already is located.

I imagine if you find one with the same size as your factory antenna. You could just install it like a normal antenna then run your power wire to your power antenna wire on the back of your radio, or whatever power source you were gonna use.

Have any of you done this yet?

The problem is going to be where to locate the motor. It is a very tight fit where the antenna is located on the B2200 for the stock antenna. I doubt that a motor will fit in there.I alsways thought it would look good to use the power antenna from a 90's Mazda 626 and locate the antenna in the drivers side "A" pillar. The motor goes in the left kick panel. That might be a solution but you would need to repair the hole the stock antenna left. BJ

I've got one off the back of a buick in the closet with my back seats. The cable is super long so it will allow me to mount it to the bed cover in one of the front bed corners. The power on wire will conect from the stereo to a small lever switch by a hinge and then to the antenna. This is to automatically retract it and not bend it accidently when the cover is raised. Work in slow progress.

I had an electric antenea on my old 4x4, I also put it on one of my 2wd aswell. It fits just fine, if you remove the inner fender, it will be much easier to put it on, I just removed 2 screws and had my arm stuck threw on the 2wd. The 4wd inner fender has an access panel. DO NOT remove your old antenea line before installing your new electric antenea. it is easier to see where it needs to go if you follow the old one first, plus you wont have as hard as time pushing threw any seals. also one hint is the use some zip ties and zip tie the power line to the antenea cable, keeps it clean.

I do have to say though, my antenea was a little angled, I still have it, it is pretty big. It is one of the oldschool ones that needed a switch to make it go up and down, a guy put it on my 71 valiant in the early 80's.

also dont tighting it completly untill the inner fender is in, you may have to have it angled just a little, but it should fit.
