OK, after working out the idea of a 4x4, I still think I would like to have airbags on my daily driven mazda. here are a few of my questions

1. I would like to keep my bed floor, to make the truck lay frame, how much would I need to move the bed floor up to keep it?

2. If I was to body drop the truck to make the body lay on the ground as well, how much would I need to move it up then?

3. Would the bed still be usuable or is there such little space that it would be practicle?

4. Since I would be moving the bed floor up, could I keep my tailgate, or would I have to modify the bottom of it?

thanks for putting up with all my questions, you guys have helped me out a lot. thanks again

1. You wont have to move the bed floor

2. 2.5 inches

3. Yes and Yes

4. You do nothing to the tailgate, your just moving your floor up. See the line that runs around your bed cut there drop your body 2.5 in. and weld.

dont you have to move the floor up over the notch, or can you lay frame with a smaller notch that stays under the floor. I know I will prolly have to use trailer fenders inside the bed so the tires dont rub.
thanks,
Mike

You can use a smaller notch so you dont have to cut up the bed. Or you can put a big C notch in and just cut the middle of your bed out. You dont have the move your bed floor up unless your doing a bodydrop.

I hual a lot of bark and junk in my bed, it just seems it would be a little hard to get it out from the front of the notch. I was thinking it would be better with a smooth bed floor.

Get a POS to get your bark and shit, fix the mazda up how you want it.
