What do you do with yours?

If yours is anything like mine the paint has all peeled off and the chrome underneath is not getting surface rust.

Have you replaced yours? If so, what company and how much?

Do you paint yours instead?

Thanks,
Zac

MINE WAS THE BLACK PAINTED, & IT HAS PEELED, THE METAL HAS RUSTED & THE LITTLE RUBBER GASKET HAS DRY ROTTED. SO FOR GRINNIES I CALLED THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP AS THAT WAS THE ONLY PLACE I KNEW TO FIND IT IN DECIENT SHAPE, THEY QUOTED ME $285 + SHIPPING FOR THE "BRIGHT" OR CHROME TRIM & $200 + SHIPPIING FOR THE BLACK.....IF YOU ARE LUCKY TO FIND SOME IN A JYARD THAT IS IN DECIENT SHAPE THAT WOULD BE THE WAY TO GO......

My 2200 has chrome w/s trim in good shape. My 2600i has black trim and it did the same as yours.I took it off, cleaned it primed it and painted it flat black so it would not glare in the w/s.That was 2 years ago and it still looks good.BJ

i got the chrome trim on mine.. The problem i have with mine is the damn clips always break and the trim just flys off while im driving.. i gotta get some windshield epoxy or something and like glue the damn thing down, Becuase ive gone thru like 3 of them, just from them flying off while im driving at like 20mph.

Well, I might as well try to strip all of whats left on there off and try to polish the chrome.. If that doesn't work I will paint it.

How do you get them off?
