TINT LAWS by state

Well since i got up a 4 in the morning to go pic my friend up from being in police custody cause he felt it was neccasary to UNSUCCESFULLY run from the cops tonigth cause he windows were tinted and he has a FAST ASS WRX (bigger turbo front mount bigger fuel pump) about 480 hp. well i was searching through a mazda forum cause were gettin rid of the 05 focus and gettin an 05 mazda 6 so i was researching them a bit and found this

oh my buddy got takin outta the car thrown on the ground and hand cuffed at gun point when they asked him what speed he topd out at he told them 150 they then told him if he would not have turned off and kept going straight HE WOULD HAVE GOT AWAY !!!! needless to say he felt dumb .....

no efence but your buddy was stupid he maybe pushing 500 hp at the wheels but it'll never out run the cop's radio. thanks for the tip on the tint, i think, NC's is wrong. cuase the front windows can be 25% along with the very back, but the back side windows can be limo tint if you want. that's were i've been told by many of the local tint shops when i was getting my tahoe's tint done.

your friend is an idiot. Did he really think he was going to get away? And with a car that stands out like that,I think even if he did get away,they'd find him and stop him sooner or later.

Anyways,for us Canadian guys,the laws in Ontario are:

Front windshield: 6" banner,25% or less
Side front windows: 25% or less
Rear side and back window: As dark as you wish,which is 5% limo tint.

Those gay mirrored/refelctive tints are a bit iffy with the law.

I have 25% all the way around on my Mazda.

yeah i live in pa and im doin 25% all the way around ill pay a few fines prolly then theyll leave me alone .....


as for the car standing out it a black WRX with tinted windows thes a dent on every side of the car the driver door has a big dent the bumpers are both cracked and the pass front fender got backed into by his uncle.......

as for him being an idiot yes i agree you may outrun the cars but you are not going to outrun the radio

but the screwed up part was they never got close enough to him to know it was him till he darted threw a parking lot and it put him back out 100 feet in front of them..... if he would have went straight they only could have radiod ahead but it was 3 AM so there werent a lot of cars on the road not hard to find the only one doin 60 threw a parking lot !!!! I BUSTED ON HIM FROM THE TIME I PICKED HIM UP TILL WE GOT TO HIS HOUSE

I'm from ontario too and I bought my truck from a well known stoner with limo tint all round (except windshield) and have had no trouble (I get more problems with my 280chp 323, the BOV is like a cop/chick magnet)

tint is a subjective thing. they cant really fine you for it unless they have the card that checks the transparency of the tint to prove if it's legal or not. it's also subjective according to the time of day or night it's viewed at,angle etc....

Rule of thumb is that you should be able to see the driver through both front side windows and be able to determine how many occupants are in the vehicle and what gender they are.

I have a book called "Legal Mods" which is all about legal and illegal vehicle modicifcations. I basically just summed up the window tint section.
