PM baggedb22 he shaved his if im nto mistakin you have to cut them off then you have to weld the to peices back together im not positive but im pretty sure thats what needs done

if that's the case your basically reskining your roof. and if you doing that then you'd might want to concider going the extra steps and do a chop top.but that's my $.02

The Rain gutter is also the pinch weld. If you really wonted to shave it then I would go in and make some 3 inch cuts every foot or so. shave those small sections so the roof does not move on yea then cut and shave the rest. That why the roof will still line up the way its supposed to.

thats wat i was gonna say, cut a lil, weld it back up, then repeat... otherwards it'll seperate. its just a pinch weld. i had this done on my old truck... its not that bad of a mod...

Start in the middle and cut out 6 ionch sections, then weld them up...and continually move outward...that way the heat affected zone moves towards the corners equally, and no towards only the front or the back....

...and would anyone notice after it's done?

not normal people, but my muscle car friends have a 71 valiant and a 70 cuda with shaved gutters and it makes it look more modern and, to me, it is just plain cool.

well yeah i can understand on those cars, just like i can understand shaving door handles and whatnot...but for something as subtle as a rain gutter, the amount of work it takes for more than half the people to walk by it and not even notice it...well,I don't see the point personally. It's sounds like making work to do a mod just for the sake of it imo. Yes,it would look good, but like everyone else said,if you're gonnado that, why not chop the top while you're at it? Then it'll get noticed.

Not everything is done to be noticed tho. if a person likes the look of something themselves - who cares if someone else notices it or not - they know it is done.
