so i put new rims on my truck they r the pathfinder 15s and i wrapped them in 195/50s. how much does this throw off the speedomiter?

i've got 195 60r 14's on mine and it is off by about 5 mph. i would just follow a friend at a steady pace to find out. that is how i found out.

go to google & do a speedo calculator tire size search, there are several available, it ought to give you an idea, but the best way is like maztang said pace a friend to find out......or if you know a cool cop (yeah like there's any of those) & get him to radar you.....

type in the stock tire size then type in the new one
this is what it said when i done your truck

When your speedo reads 60mph, You are actually traveling 52.1 mph

is there any way to recalibrate it,or do you just have to live with it?

Because over time, won't that put off your true milage on the odometer?

you have to get a new gear that goes into the tranny. it attaches to the speedo cable. really easy to change. if the speedometer is reading faster than what you are going you get a gear with fewer teeth and visa versa.

oh. simple enough.

If they make one for our trucks and you can find it yea simple lol
