what panels do you want to make useable? i may be dumb to ask but im lost
im assuming his BD is the custom floor one

and its quite simple to do, im doing it right now, (well on hold for a couple weeks)
in a nutshell, weld in a bar from side to side( to keep the body stable(ish), cut out floor(for mine firewall also, i smoothed out the rockers, pinch weld and all, lots of measurements to get the supports for the body to the mounts lined up correctly, weld in floor supports, im going to be sure to gussett the crap outta the floor.
also this is the best time to trailer fender the front,
but how are you doing the bodymounts? do you want to utilize the stock frame mounts or do you want to cut those off and make your own?
as for seat placement, im going to be using old buckets from who knows when, so id have to decide on where to place them and how high to, for that im thinking youd just figure out where to place the seat, weld in some supports, box it in with sheetmetal to make it look cleaner, then drill the supports, tap them and bolt them up
i know i left out alot but im pretty lazy right now, really his pictures could be a great way to get the concept,

yeah it's gonna be a custom floor.

i figure i'll do it on a single cab.

i am lookin at a 1987 B2200, and i do want to smooth everything out and trailer fender it.

I could do my own body mounts, using the stock ones in a different location...

i'm thinkin of using boat seats or somethin... somthin easy to upholster...

i was talkin about like inner panels on an ext cab, but nvm, i'll do a single cab instead...

Thanks

a single cab wouldnt be any different or harder than an ext. cab, just a little more metal. alittle more welding.

not to seem like a complete tard but when you say "trailer fender" what do you mean?

trailer fenders are usually purchasable in raw form, already fabbed with rounded sides, you can buy them at farm equipment stores etc. They look like fat chopper fenders but they are flat, they are very common too. Heres a link.

Ive been considering this option lately also its legal, and air systems and 4 links are not where im from so, its one of my only options left.

LAYDOUT. IM IN THE MIDDLE OF BD#2 ON MT 87 CAB PLUS...5INCH STOCK FLOOR HEIGHT. BUT IF 2 1/2 INCHES IS ENOUGH DROP FOR YOU I DID MY FIRST ONE BY REMOVING THE RUBBER SHIMS UNDER THE CAB CENTER AND CUTTING OUT AROUND THE FRAME THEN SECTIONING THE CORE SUPPORT BELOW THE FENDER LEVEL.YOU CAN EVEN LEAVE THE CENTER TUNNEL IN AND JUST BOX FROM THERE TO THE OUTER FRAME AREA.VERY EASY AND STILL RETAINS THE FRAME MOUNTS AND THE CAB MOUNTS AS IF THEY WERE STOCK.

what do u mean by cutting around the frame, and by taking out the rubber u can gian travel for the cab to lower but do u still have to lower the cab mounts

start cutting!
