I have my 18" Infinity QX56 with the same offset that came stock on the B2200. They bolted up fine and everything has gone well, until....
I went to put on my 4X4 Bed today and to my surprise the Fender Wells BARELY clear the rims! I don't know what the problem is with the clearance because they have the same offset as stock!
I could trim out the inch lip and probably get by, but if I get any side to side action I might be in trouble!
What are the widths of the QX56 wheels and the stock wheels?
The thing that you want to be similar for the two sets of wheels would the be front space. If two sets of wheels have different widths but have the same offset, the wider wheel is gonna stick out farther.
I'm thinking this is your problem.
That would be your problem... If its really close take the wheels and have some of the offset machined off. You could easily take 3 or 4mm off of it and have a little more clearence. You might be able to take off more, but I dont know how thick the center of the wheel is.
I guess I jsut got caught up in the heartbreak that I was too stupid to realize that factor!
My QX56's are 18X8
I don't think that the stock wheels are that wide!
Hmmm....
Machining the offset will be the last resort, at least I hope! Umm, I think that I will trim out those braces and also the lip and see what I can come up with???
theres your problem, the 18x8 they are way too wide, i believe my eskies are 17x7 and that is pushing it, granted i dont have 4x4 metal but it is very very close on my truck,
mini truckin had an issue about 2 years ago on how to flare the bed sides on our trucks, i had the mag but let someone borrow it and have never seen the mag since. it showed how to cut the wheel well supports and stretch the bedsides out just enough to clear wider wheels without fucking up the bed, try contacting mini truckin to see if they can help you with back issue info
