before i just ran off and cut the wire i would remove the plug and check it a voltage meter. or a test light. this wire its showing is inside the truck at the switch panel.....but use a meter always.
but i only want to run it to the highbeam wire because these lights are super bright, and dont want them on when im driving through the city, only when the highbeam is on.
Use a test light. Clip it to the negative terminal or something metal under the hood. Unplug a headlight and start probing. With the headlight switch off none should light your tester, and then one will be hot for lows and then one for highs. So just clip testlight to ground - take plug off a headlight - turn high beams on - probe with test light until it comes on.
Pephen, do you still have daytime runners on your truck? If so, and you set up a relay system to trigger off the high beam wire, the fog lights will go on with the daytime runners, as well as the high beams.
pictures for anyone who cares. i might put in 3 more lmao. i think it looks not too bad. not sure what you guys think, but i mean in the end its my truck..i think its kinda cool lol. tell me what you think, negative or positive.
Yeah i took the time to do a clean install, Learned over the years i guess its really the only way. Ive got a 30A Relay, 20A Fuse. The "Switch" is triggered by my highbeam.
