I've got this killer dent on my xcab passenger (now driver ) side.. I was thinkin about cutting it out with a body saw and trying to work it back to normal.. i havent dealt with much body work so my experience is limited.. It is creased in one spot.. think its worth fixing? i know i can get a replacement panel when i have the money, but if i can fix it with out the panel then why not... do yall think its worth it?

what scares me is the body line....

If you are gonna go thru the trouble of cuttin it off, you might as well find a donor and cut the same panel off and replace the section.

check with a body shop and see if they can order a brand new side panel for you. and itll keep the body line right.

Im not worried about the door.. Ill look into the new panel.. I dont think ive got what it takes to keep the body line.. i just wanted to work on somethin while i was waiting for the next pay check..

nah, but i was thinking with the creas i would have to remove it no matter what.. you think its repairable with out removal?

probably not buy for a quick fix like you were talking about you could pull it out and then bondo till u could get a new panel.as for the panel itself... its done, no saving that bad boy!

If you are going to replace it any way - why not give it a try !! cut it where the worst damage is. see pic. it is metal it will bend and flex and bend some more.

thas not really "fixable" body lines are bitch to get back, especially hard ones like that, it mite can be fixed but u really need to kno wud ur doing, if u get a hold of a nail gun(stud gun), some wiggle wire and bear claw, u mite cud pull out that crease, i wud jus cut that piece out above the body line like an inch and then go find the same piece thas is in good condition and weld that one in, jus cut the new one a lil long so u have more to work with. the reason i say above the body line is because tryin to cut rite on it mite make it harder to weld another in place if u dont cut it straight..i go to wyotech, thas y im givin u my opinion
