Ok, when I turn on my lights my drivers side taillight goes on like it should as a driving light but my passenger side doesnt go on. My passenger side goes on like normal when I brake but not as a driving light. Ive checked the bulbs and even switched them between the two lights and nothing works. Does anyone know where the problem could be?

sounds like a crusty socket...remove both lights and swap them around see if that works...you wont be able to bolt the lights back up that way but it will tell you if its in your housing or in your wireing

ive already tryed switching the bulbs and the whole bulb harness too still the same thing. could there be something wrong with the switch on the steering column?

SOUNDS LIKE A RUSTED CONNECTION IN THE BULB SOCKET, MINE DID THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK, I USED A 1/2 PIPE CLEANING BRUSH TO CLEAN THE CONTACTS, THEN SHOT IT WITH A SQUIRT OF CONTACT CLEANER, THEY'VE BEEN WORKING EVER SINCE I DID THAT.

I will have to try that and see what happens.

Sounds like a bad socket. You can clean it,or just as easily find a replacement harness from another truck. Have a bad contact in your socket could also mean you may run into poor grounding problems later on,especially since you live in Sask. You'll probably end up running into some more electrical gremlins over the course of the winter.

I had to redo all my grounds on the frame for my tail lights and clean all my sockets and spade connectors in the plugs. I've had my tails light go screwy like when I turn on my left signal, both my brakes flash,or I hit the brakes and my turn signals dimly light up while my running lights go dim.

I also had a front parking light with a bad ground that kept blowing the fuse and leaving me with no tail lights at night.

All my problems were winter and corrosion related.
