recessed headlights

does anyone know how to recessed the headlamps? i am thinking about getting the phantom grill and having it powdercoated black and i want to find out if its a real pain in the ass.

i think they are the shit, its not hard to recess the lights

Its pretty easy, you just have to cut the holes out slightly bigger behind the headlights so they can be adjusted in farther.

ya its not bad, few minutes with a grinder and your done.

yeah it didnt take me to long to do mine,i had it on in under an hour.just take the headlight bucket out and trim the hole to be wider.it took me a few tries but it was easier than i expected.

i've got a phantom on my 89 and it isn't to bad. the right way to do it would be to cut a square around the headlight mount and build a square box with the headlamp mount welded to the back and weld it all up to the back of the radiator support where the stock location is.

if that makes any since. i suck at explaining things.

i just bought a new computer so now im back on the net.i still have my mazda of course but its still torn down to nothin.finally finished my frame and i just ordered cando a arms yesterday.i havent worked on my mazda in about 7 months now. and i miss it more than ever.so im going balls to the wall to get it back on the road.i see you got a couple more projects
