Pieces set in place with a little circle for the lock that i will hold from the back then tac weld in, fitup is very important and you don't want any gaps, it'll make welding much easier:

make sure all the paint is remove off and near anywhere you will be welding, I bought some weld through primer and sprayed it on the back of both metal filler pieces and all around behind the door pannel. take a lot of time when stitch welding it up, i didn't wait long enough inbetween welding and the door warped just a lil too much and it's not the easiest thing to get your arm in from behind to push it back out. mind my shitty tacs:

grind smooth:

remove all the weld through primer from the outside and use some wax and grease remover before spredding filler for a good bond. I didn't take a picture of spreading metal filler before this but i use that ontop of anything i weld to prevent shrinkage.

Me spraying some Primer after i masked up all around the door and removed the window:

not sure if i left any details out but that's how i shaved my doors, I still have to install door poppers and install a suicide door kit so i'll do some reading here on the forums if i can find any info on it cause i know nothing about doing either.

alot of sites sell door popper kits... most you can get for right at $100 and will come with all the instructions you need...... just make sure if you buy a kit online that it comes with all hardware and installation instructions.....

just a tip - if you cut out the whole door handle pocket, you can make a rectangular filler piece, its easier and faster, and since the pocket is gone you can hammer and dolly the spot, making for less filler work!
