How much cutting up front to tuck escalde 17" wheels? What about the back? I was gonna go 16" z71 because i like them and have a set on one allready. But the escalades look pretty good also but i dont want to make to much work to make them clear also turning with the front down? Thanks, Craig

Well not all the way down...i just dont want the front way up to drive... i can get pretty low with the 16" z71 wheels just dont want to lose that if i got 17"

if you are already bagged on 16s then there is a chance you wont lay out with 17s cause of the height difference.

Well im about to start the bags and planned on the 16" i put them on for the mock up till i can get a set for it...but now i am kinda looking at the escalades so i wanted to see if anyone had problems with them. I am not a real big fan of big rims but the escalades look pretty sweet and not to big. I think there is a single cab on here bagged with them but not sure if hes laying frame?

Check out this thread.

Its my buddys truck that lays frame with escalades. It wasnt that hard to make it lay either. It should be able to lay on 20s with drop spindles we think.

ya I have cid's truck already for the eskies as he is right now laying out hard on his 16" denalies. The only thing I have to do is flip the bottom ball joints and he will still lay fully out. He has the drop spindles already in and all I can say is you will want the tires just clearing the fenders when driving. I have driven cid's low and I mean low and with the eskies on it it will drive low still just no major turns or it will rub.Actually I have cid's all set up to lay out on 20's if he wanted.

On the blue mazda the front wheel wells have been rolled and the rear were trimmed out to fit.

It lays, but more so the to middle/rear, the front the wheel wells haven't been cut so I think it could go lower in the front if the wheel wells were cut out

You can get that low if the inner fenders are cut out.
