chrome window trim

i did some searching and couldnt find anything...so i was wondering if it is possible to buy new chrome trim and if soo where can i get it??

dealership, probably be expensive though.

Problem with using a parts truck for the trim is when u try to get it off it usually shatters .If u r talking about the chrome belt moldings on each door,$37 BUCKS APIECE from Maz.Windshield molding is about 3x that.BJ

Yep... I wound up sanding mine down and painting them with gloss black epoxy paint. I really wanted the chrome ones but they are made of rare unobtainium.

If you take your time and go really slow it can be done. I pulled all the chrome trim off my stock untouched 86 and only broke one of the clips and got all the trim off with no damage. So It can be done.

are we talking about the trim that goes up and all the way around the window...?... or .. just the trim that runs along the top of the door (under the mirror)

i've taken the front window trim off without breakn it! i used an offset flat screwdriver with a notch at the tip(kinda like the end of a crow bar)if u know where the clips are located(i think 3 or 4 on the side pieces,and 5 or 6 on the top piece)just slip the screwdriver between the trim & the windshield & push down/pop it!
