This one is how to make a lense with no equipment.


And this one shows how to create the mold used to cast the taillight.


This one shows you how to to make lenses using an oven. Its in japanese so if you wanna use this method, it needs to be translated. But there is pictures to give you the idea.


That site sells everything needed to cast the lense, and make the molds.

very cool,but all clear tails can be purchased easily on ebay now for $18 thanks to a Thai supplier.

Question... why does the original item have to be clear??? How about taking an opaque item and making it clear. Could make for some interesting interior accents with the addition of a little creative lighting.

The original item doesnt have to be clear. It would make no difference if whatever your making a mold of is clear or not.
