I have a new lexan window for the maz. What is the best way to get the old window out and get this one in. Is it a hard job?

15 minutes, pop one corner out, pull the window out gently, it will all remove. then take the rubber seal, and wrap your new lexan in it, then you take some tweed or some thin strong rope. and wrap it around the entire seal leaving both ends at the top with enough room to pull on them, have a friend apply pressure to the wwindow from the outside while you pull the ropes out.it will bring the seal into your truck making it stay like your factory hopes this helps.

thanks for the tips. I guess it will soon be time to put it in.

I tried that once with glass, and busted it to all hell. Have your freind apply GENTLE pressure.

Best o luck.

Could you give some more insight on what to do with the rope?

Also, and some might call me stupid, I have used liquid soap to help lubricate the window rubber. Be careful with it. Too much makes a big ass mess. This link (although VW in nature) sorta kinda explains it.

these windows are called "rope in" when putting the window back in you need to pull the seal through on the inside of the truck, so when your wrapping the rope around the inside of the seal it makes life a lot easier to pull the seal through. i was an idiot and did it by hand lol cuz i was too lazy to get a rope lol.

how hard was it just by hand? Thanks guy for the VW link.
