i am thinking about setting up a small system in my garage this year. i saw the kit at eastwoodco.com for 700 bucks and then all i would need is an oven. never done it before so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i acctually just bout a kit from east wood.
but i bought the elite kit. for $200 and i love it. i used it yesterday amd it waz extremely easy. just make sure ur parts are clean. i had cleaned my stuff in a blast cabnet. and then i used there paint prep cleaner which they recomend. it cleans all the grit, oil, and all resedue off the part after u blast it and what not. i will post a pic of what my part looks like that i just did yesterday.

oh man, i may get the elite kit instead. i didn't see it before but it looks like it will do everything i want to do and is about 500 bucks cheaper.

i would deff. get there 110pc silicone plug kit also. the ones they send you is not enough. i had to cut some of them down to make them work for my part.

i waz thinkin about gettin two of the 110pc kits.

and maybe get more tape also. the stuff they send it pretty narrow.

also another thing u might wanna buy from them or ur local hardware store if you dont have one.... its a presure reg. cuz u can only run like 12psi Max. and i also bought some extra inline filters for the powdercoat kit.

heres also some more pointers.
when or if you buy the kit. my buddy at work did alotta powder coating at his old job. he told me to preheat the part u want to powder coat.
so. heat part then shoot powder then bake it.

also he told me a VERY helpful trick.
when u would be done with the powder coat gun and goin to clean it up. touch the ground clamp to the electrode that sticks out the tip of the gun. it will nutralize it. or u have a VERY good chance to get a SHOCK hahaha.

that waz a big pointer i thought. and i thought i would share it.

Peace N|ck
