Well, I have a pretty rusty bed/frame, and I don't know really what to do. Main fix at first would be the bed so does anyone know if there is another type of truck bed that will fit or where I can get stuff to fix the current one I have. I also have a leaky gas tank, I know the leak is on the seam so does anyone know where I can get a new one or used that doesn't leak. I don't have a very big budget so I would prefer that it not cost me an arm and a leg.

Check the local junkyard. Cheapest place to get parts. Or post in the wanted section here, alot of people have parts trucks. Or check your local craigs list.

Alright thanks for the ideas bro, any one have any other ideas for parts maybe online or anything?

Not at a lower end price. For a bed get it from locals or a jy. They aren't worth fixing unless the rust is minimal. Should be able to find one for under $500 at the most. I've heard about some step side ranger beds being put on thats about it. For the frame... Well you can't really do much and not much is legal. You could back half the frame which isn't that expensive if you can find cheap metal. If the rust is in other areas of the frame like I said not much you can do except welding in flat bar along the bottom of your rails.

Okay for the frame get it sandblasted first to really se if there is any serious problems and then depending on how far you want to go with it back half or just fix it. The box if the inside of the box is rusted through better of just going and find a new one if it is the out side then you have the option of removing the sides and getting new ones this would be a good time to go with 4x4 sides. next the gas tank you would be better of just getting a replace ment. Wish you were closer as I do have a mint box and tank that i am getting rid of.

I wish I was closer to, but canada is a long drive in an 87 mazda with 181,000 miles on it.

hey that milage is not bad at all my son's one truck had 432,000 km on it and the motor still ran mint but the frame went to the crapper. If you need any thing bro just pm with your number and I can maybe help you out. You will find alot of us on here can really give you a hand with your ride. How far are you from ontario anyways.

Well, I live literally in the middle of the united states, so quite a ways. But I will pm you you my number, my next project is going to be getting my truck to fire first try. Right now, it won't fire in the cold, it takes me sometimes 30 minutes to get it going. The truck does have a block warmer on it, but I can't use it since I have to park on the street. Most of the other forumers seemed to think that my automatic choke came unplugged from the alternator, at least hat is what I am pretty sure they said.
