I mounted the fuel cell in my truck between the frame rails at the very back. To cut the hole in the bed for the 2 or so inches that'll come through, I'll have to cut through both of the rear channels in the bed. Am I going to have to basically notch that part with some square tubing so it goes over my fuel cell so the bed won't flex?

when i done my isuzu i had to cut through mine and i didnt have any problem with th bed flexing. but you could go in and just weld some supports around the area you are cutting out on the bottom of your bed. what would be the best thing to cut a floor and interior walls out with to keep from messiing up the outside of the bed

So you're saying to kind of frame the hole with some square tube before I cut it?

You could use an air saw with a blade that you cut shorter so it won't hit the outside skin. Or a plasma.

yeah something like that but i dont think it would flex to bad unless you are mounting the cell to the floor

The cell is strapped into a cradle that's welded between the frame rails.

then you really shouldnt have to worry about the bed flexing in my old isuzu the tank was mounted to the bed floor and it didnt flex

I'm worried about the bed flexing because it'd be missing half of the horizontal support.
