Mine is rusted in place I cannot get the bolts to move, I have used PB blaster, heat, a breaker bar, and an impact ratchet but not budging. can I cut the bolts off with a sawzall and be able to replace them to mount the bed back on? all info is appreciated.

The bolts in my old bed were rusted solid I was able to 6 out but 2 of them broke the heads off, after they broke I flipped the bed upside down and heated around the bolt, drilled them, and tried to use the biggest easy out (bolt extractor) possible but I didnt help. Had to put it back on with only 6 bolts. Good luck man wish I could be of more help.

try this stuff that CRC makes called "freeze off". its available at schucks. its a penetrating lubricant that instantly freezes on contact when sprayed to break rust loose. after working with datsuns for so many years and having those same problems, i now swear by that stuff after trying it once and have a can ready whenever im around an old vehicle.

shit there's supposed 2 be 8 bolt's in my bed!thats some funny shit,i've only got 4 holding mine on!i wouldn worry if u break a bolt or 2 as long as u got all 4 corner bolts,it aint going anywhere!!!

don't know why there is so many bolts on these truck's beds.... alot of manufactures these days only use 4 bolts even on full size trucks.... IMO if you could at least get 4 out... cut or break the rest... you'd be gtg (good to go)
