I've seen a couple of guys do this but I haven't seen anybody explain how they did it. Does anybody have any more info or a howto link?

Thanks,
Brian

its just like if you were to do a traditional bodydrop but you space the bed up from the frame

So do they drill out the spot welds that hold the floor to the sides or just hack the thing up?

i cut mine even with the top of the fender well from front to back righ before the tail light pocket then straight down and across about three inches from the tailgate and raised the floor to where the fender wells touched the bed rails with is about 5 inches, then i cut like 4 inches out of the front wall to give an inch overlap to reweld it. you will also have to cut a filler for the rear where the five inch gap is or however much you raise your floor. then just weld everything back up and you will have to get some square tubing and longer bolts to space it back up so your body lines match. i think i posted some pics in my project money pit thread of what mine looked like after i raised it but it wasnt welded in yet. hope this helps you some
