i want to strip off the black on my wheels so i will have chrome 6 spokes.will the striper harm the chrome? and will the chrome under the paint be as good looking as the rest?

If those rims are polished aluminum (most likely) you might have some polishing ahead of you. If they are chrome then they would have had to scuff the chrome for the paint to stick so you might be S.O.L. They might be powdercoated too in which case the aircraft stripper probably won't work. Maybe try a small spot on the back of the rim to test.

completely polished vipers would be absolutely TITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you will have to repolish

i guess i will just paint the black silver, i tried polishing the wheels on my IROC camaro and it never turned out right

its not hard bro just take your time i wouldnt use aircraft stripper just sand the black off with 220 then when you have a clean surface start moving up gits a few times till you get a nice finish with 1200 or 1400 then get some mothers and a lil buffing wheel for your drill and go to town its messy a hell but i think you would find it very easy

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!, please for the love of all things holy, don't paint the black part silver!!!!

just take your time and do what Todd said, or, better yet just upgrade to escalades and send me your vipers

to add to what Todd said use rubbing compound before using mothers, it help eliminate any sanding marks.
