Aluminium B-pillars

You guys know of a place that can duplicate my B-pillars in aluminium? It seems the norm is to get them shaved. Honestly i'd rather keep them but in a polished aluminium form.

it seems that it would take a lot of structural support out of your roof. they make them in steel for a reason. how would you connect it to the roof and the rest of the cab?

I do believe he is referring to the plastic cosmetic pieces that came on the single cabs....I hope. I know Grant Kustoms makes steel ones. I would be worried about the possiblity of them getting nicked up pretty easy if made from aluminum. Would look pretty awsome with some chrome window trim though. Keep us posted if you do this.

Ya im sure he means the cosmetic pieces.... it wouldnt make sense to cut the whole b pillar out......


But i think it would look sick as hell, dont know where you could get it done, not without havin to give up an arm and a leg.... and maybe your left kidney

ive never owned a std cab so i totally forgot about the plastic pieces that mount onto the b-pillar on those.

There is a place called "quicksilver" that will chrome plate plastic. they do a lot of old plastic restoration. I have thought about having a set plated. I don't think it has been done. I also wanted to do the dash bezels around the gauges and A/c controls. Billet would be large cash!

Yeah i'm talkin' about the plastic pieces. I was thinkin' about getting the plastic chrome plated but was concerned about durability. I guess its not much different than easy-to-dent aluminium. Honestly I want it to look exactly like the stock piece, lines and all.

Jmzcustomz - Are the ones from Grant the fillers or look stock? If they look stock then hell i'd just get those and have them chromed here in Jax.
