Draggin balls?

im not to sure where this would go, but what do you think about dragging hitch balls? love em? hate em? have em? i want some input.

i like them...they give off some nice spark down the road....they easy and cheap for a good drag

ive heard some horror stories about them breaking off and taking out the roll pan? any good ideas on what thickness of steel to use? and should they be at a 45degree angle? does any body have any pics of the brackets? i mean i have a good idea of how to make one i just want to be sure that im right.

all my buddies with mazdas use them, heres what they do take 2 to 3in long pieces of 2.5x2.5 square tube and plug weld a nut in one end of each then weld the other end of the square tubes to the frame so that the end with the nut points down now take your balls and screw them into the nuts tighten with a pipe wrench and drag the hell out of it, when there worn out unscrew them and screw in new ones. make sure there tight they can take out a roll pan:)

IMO... VERY VERY VERY DANGEROUS... WHERE DOES THE BALL GO WHEN IT BREAKS OFF OR COMES LOOSE? TO HELL WITH WHAT IT DOES TO YOUR TRUCK.... THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU.... WHAT IF YOUR WIFE WAS BEHIND YOU WITH THE KID IN HER CAR AND YOU WAS DRAGGIN IN FRONT OF HER AND ONE OF YOUR BALLS BROKE OR CAME LOOSE AND BOUNCED UP AND WENT THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD.... NEED I SAY MORE..... PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM DRAGGIN BALLS... PLATE THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FRAME AND DRAG IT INSTEAD!!! AND BESIDES THAT WHATS THE POINT OF PUTTING SO MUCH MONEY AND EFFORT INTO A BUILD IF YOUR NOT GOING TO DRAG & DESTROY IT!!!! ISN'T THAT KINDA LIKE THE MINI TRUCKER MOTO? WE MAY BE HARDCORE BUT WE ALSO HAVE FAMILIES... REMEMBER THIS BETTER SAFE THEN DEAD!!!
