bubble hood

will the bubble hood clear the 2600 manifold with a body drop?

the reason that bubble is on the hood of a 2600i is to clear the intake plenum.If u drop the body more than an an inch or two u r going to have clearance problems fo sho.the way to clearance the plenum is to get a stiff piece of aluminum foil,measure it in inch increments,tape it to the highest point on the plenum sticking straight up,then close the hood and see what u have left uncrumpled.that should give u some idea of how much if any of a drop u can do,before clearance is an issue.bj

yeah I'm half way through my bodydrop but I got the engine out. my 2600 had a regular hood but i picked the bubble up cheap so i figured it might help a lil' bit

damn good idea on how to find how much room you have to play with!!!

failing that,cut holes or add a cowl
