Color primer is just regular primer tinted!

Just ask them to tint it blue, green, black, purple, etc...

primer does fade in deed. i put my arms on the ruff of my truck one day while i was talkin to some buddys, few minutes later i noticed the whole backside of my arm was black, you could also lay some clear coat down on it and ruff it up a bit with sandpaper to give it back the flat look

Try Hotrod Flatz -

Or just ask your paint supplier to mix a flattener into your paint.

It shouldn't fade any more than any other single stage paint. It's flattened single stage urethane paint. If you want to know the TRUTH, it's PPG's omni line, sold pre-flattened by TCP Global.

Just trying to offer this guy a solution that will actually last a while... Primer was never meant to be used as a "final" coat.

I have real life experience with the HotRod Flatz product... And I will tell you firsthand, it is durable, easy to use, and hides amateur bodywork quite well.
