Haha.... I knew something would go wrong

So I have been building my 91 B2200 Cab plus for the last 3 weeks and was ready to throw my 4x4 bed on and my 18" wheels and drive to my buddy's house with the plasma cutter and build my 4 link and do my suspension. Unfortunately my buddy that dropped the bed off 2 weeks ago didnt know there's a difference between strandard cab and cab plus. I figured it out after I set the bed on the frame. Well, my wheels wont fit under the stock bed ( they will hit the edge of the fender ). Any one know of any good fender flares or have any suggestions? I am going to see if any wreckers are open tomorrow and see if I can find the right bed.


P.S. If anyone with a standard cab near the Tacoma area wants a 4x4 bed, It has some rust but if your going to notch it wont matter too much.It is straight and will need paint. I'll sell for $250obo!

how much are they hitting? you can roll the inside lip of the wheel well, or go as far as cutting the 4 wheel well support brakets and flair the box side and add an extention to support braket

They hit the lip of the rim with just the truck sitting there. I need at least an inch to get them to tuck. I could use a little more info on cutting the support brackets and adding extentions?

I have bobbed a bed before on a toyota wheeler and was thinking of cutting the front of the 4x4 bed down to size and move mounting brackets if i need too. Im gonna check with my local wrecker before I do anything though.

cut down the front of the bed and re weld it ....like sleepyspeeds truck..it looks differant and cool

where you at? i see tacoma....we have several tacoma's around me.... i have a nice 4x4 standard cab bed and i need a cabplus bed....i did the same shit you did ...lol

Juice, I am in Tacoma, WA. I wish you were closer I would have swapped with you. I just picked up the right bed today for $300. I still have the standard cab 4x4 bed if anyone close needs one? I'll get rid of it for cheap!
