I know the 2600i has a different hood and I thought I remember reading somewhere that the earlier 4x4's had slightly different metal than the later ones. Anybody have a definitive answer?

I read somewhere that 86-87 4x4's had 2wd metal with plastic fender flares...

see I've read that too, but ive seen plenty of 87's with real metal and ive seen 90's with plastic flares so im confused

bubble hoods came on both the b26k and b22k FI models....the plastic/rubber-trim/flares were optional, I won't swear that the early 86-87's weren't just 2wd with flares, but the 88-93 sheet metal is all the same...

I've got a 1993 B2200 EFI but it doesn't have a bubble hood. Now it may not be original cause i think it has repainted at one time, but if it is supposed to have one, i'm pissed because i wanted a bubble hood.

My front fenders came off of a 87 4x4 and they are the same as the 88-93. I know that some came with a plastic flare, but it just screwed into the fender on the inner lip. They should all fit on 87-93 trucks. And look better than the 2wd IMO. -Ed
