^^x2 what he said. I would sand it all off man and do it right. I don't know your experience with auto body but you can get the materials for a single stage paint job for $300-$400.

If you want a cheap satin black painjob, go to your local paint store. Buy a half a gallon of black basecoat.
Reduce as normal, then add 1 capfull of hardner to each cup of paint.
Then you will get something that looks like this...(my old truck)
I had this done for over a year with out any fading...I think it cost me like 65.00

even rattle can clearcoat will do that.

i just like how he used SATAN BLACK! instead of satin!!

haha. but honestly i would get the real stuff and do it right. even if you do a horrible job with real paint it wont be anywhere near as gross as an awesome rattlecan job. just test out a few pieces of metal you dont care about before you do the main part.

the only thing you can really do to spray cans is make a bucket of warm water and heat up the cans, it lays down a bit better.

now let me think for you a little.....if you do this with cans, your gonna need 10 -12, if they are $6, 60 - 72 bucks.

you must know someone with a compressor, buy a cheap paint gun from harbor freight $15 then get some of that duplicolr paint shop paint $20 a quart, 3 should do it, 4 will no problem. $75 - 95, for about the same money, it will look better and hold up for a while.

lastly, if it doesn't look so good, embrace it, rub some more off, there's plenty of rides in magazines with less than stellar paint jobs

Ive rattle canned 3 of my vehicles. My old monte carlo. My old s10 and now my b2200. If its flat you can make it look as good as a regular flat paint job. Just have good can control and don't try to cover it in one shot. You will need to do multiple layers. My s10s paint was solid couldn't see through it. It was good for rattle can. So just take your time. You will need many cans of paint to get it done thoroughly.
