hey, i want to shave my wiper cowl.. My only question is, will there be any negitive effects on the truck? My truck is my daily driver so i was wondering if shaving it will have any ill effects? (overheating, no defrost, etc)??

shaving your wiper cowl will cause problems with inspections thats all and poor vision while driving in rain lol, your defroster is off the top of the dash

you talking bout the outside cowl under the wipers? if you shave it you will A) lose your window squirters and B) lose your fresh air option cause thats where it gets air into it to blow into the truck. thats all the issues you would have. you would still have the recirculation option on your heat and air. i dont know bout inspections cause sc hasnt had that in decades.

you won't lose fresh air completely, since there's no gasket or any sealer between the outer cowl and those holes in the cowl box. it won't work as efficiently but that's what you have windows for. rollem down

Agreed Geoff, you will get some fresh air (had a shaved cowl on the daughters truck for a while). But, the windows work much better. Even better, loose the roof LOL

Figured I'd share some pics with you guys... I left to two slots for the window squirters, since i drive my truck daily and alot of highway driving, the squirters are very usefull...
