Well. i know its normal for theses to rust. but under the passenger side its maybe 1x1 rust threw spot. and more major on the drivers side.. i wanna say from the lower firewall and maybe 8 inchs on the bottom.. should i really be worryed or leave it be until my foot fall threw.. i have access to a welder but i don't want to take the body off the frame.
i was in your shoes about 3 months ago and went with taking the cab off only because i couldnt see putting the time and effort into restoring the whole truck but not the rust in the floor. whats your goal for the truck??? daily? if so just do what you can and enjoy the truck and drive it. if its gonna be show or something super nice ...well then get welding. hope it helps. oh and is the truck already safetied? if no id clean it up and such
if its already on the road and such then whats stopping you??? go for it dude!! enjoy the beast. its what b22's are all about. slam it and post some pics!
its a long process and not easy if your going it alone. think it out cuz once your knee deep there isnt any going back...or atleast going back wont be wise. some days i wish i just slapped it together and slamed it to the ground. but ill be rolling in something nice some day...
If you are going to leave relocate your ecm they don't like water, just re-route the wires to above your heater ,it'll stay dry there, actually you should do this right away ,it only takes hitting a big enough puddle once.
