Just wondering if anyone has made their own? I was thinking I could do it in the school shop. that way the school even donates the sheet metal. I've seen the work some of you have done with body drops and custom panels but I also see links to roll pans and skins. any advice? Is it worth the hassel of making your own roll pan/fillers?

I would say try it out in your shop class. If the material is free what do you have to loose plus you will gain some experience. You will never get anywhere if your afraid to try and remember that you never fail, you only learn.

As far as premade panels/fillers, Grant Customs is the way to go. They offer everything for the B's at top notch quality for a reasonable price.

Any advice for positioning and welding body metal? just but it up flush and tack it in? The closest thing to body metal I've welded was exhaust, and its considerably thicker

ive had rollpans made for a year now. its fairly simple to do. its just a flat sheet with 4 bends in it. the template is teh hardest part. i was lucky enough to have a spare section of rollpan i purchased from a company to go off of. once you have your bends right then just bend the sheet and cut it to the proper length. after that its two notches for the hinges.
