New HID Projectors On Low Beam Still have High Beam. These projectors have a shutter just like other BI-XENON factory projectors. Ill see if i can get some good night shots of cutoff.

Looks cool. Id like to see the pics of the cutoff. Did that just come with the projectors or did it come with ballasts n such?

I still have to align them, before i take a pic of the cutoff. One side looks kind of Gimpy but may be due to the misalignment, I drove around some of the Darker Highways around here and the light output was amazing. The high beams made the Road sings look like they were on fire. The kit i bought contained the projectors which came with 6000k D2S/R Bulbs. I had to buy the HID Kit. I bought a 6000k slim HID kit that way i have extra bulbs. The projectors have a white angle eye but i have yet to decide if i should connect them.

The HID projector kit comes with the wire harness for both projectors which used the battery to power the HID ballast the harness also has relays that control the Hi/Low Beams.

I had to buy a new set of H4 Headlamps the base of the bulb has to be mounted as far back as possible. If its not the projector assembly will stick out to far out and will not clear the headlight lens. i think its pretty good considering that if i remember right about four year to five years ago one couldn't buy a regular HID kit for less that.

Those are nifty projectors. The ones I used were off of an Acura TL and the housings are HUGE. The projectors you used are more contained (no huge solenoid sticking out in the open) and not as much sticking out from the back of the headlight housing.

I'm also curious to see the cutoff and how well it projects the light. I know my high beam will light up Owls in the tree's and seems to burn the sides of the road away. While my low beams are tame and the cutoff is VERY distinct.

Good to see people doing HID retrofits the "correct" way...Rather than just buying a retrofit bulb.

How did you get the headlights apart?

Buy the H4 headlight housings (on ebay for example) put them in the oven on the lowest temp for about a minute and pry the glass off carefully. (Try not to use metal tools)

You can do that with any composite headlight to open them up for mods.

I fist tried to take apart the lens from the housing using only my mental ability, then when i couldn't take it apart. I used a heat gun and a box instead. I set the headlight in the box and waited for about 2min. Till the sealant was soft. After installing the projector in i used some new sealant and made sure i had no openings where moisture would seep in and cause the headlight to get foggy. The cutoff is pretty descent. Not as good as a OEM conversion but i like the way it looks on some dark bridges around here and since i have a static drop i can see the cut off bounce off the guard rails. The only thing i was concern about the kit was being confused with a BMW. LoL

The only thing i'm not to happy with is the parking lights they look a bit too yellow compared with the HIDs. The I'm running White Sylvania Bulbs in the parking lights. I like the look of driving with the corner lights on before i need to run with headlights. I would like to have some blueish to match the HIDs, but i was told that i could get a ticket for not having Amber Or White parking lights.(Texas)
