Body Drop Question

I've see quite a few write-ups on body dropping our mazda's. My question is why is it necessary to cut the front clip off to do a traditional body drop? Also, if I was going to do a Stock Floor body drop, would I need to cut the front clip off?

Are you talking about the front frame horns that mount the core support, and bumper? This is because the core support is connected to the body by the inner fenders so it just drops everything the same amount.

i just cut my frame horns behind the front body mount and plated it back up it lowers every thing
