hey guys i'm in the process of doin a bd on my 88 cab plus, i'm plannin on layin the rocker. i was wondering if i should go all traditional or try and get some stock floor out of it too. anyone know how far you can stock floor these trucks without shavin the frame down? or should i just stick with a traditional? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

traditional, its easier cleaner looking, and you have the option of new flooring it if you wanna...

i think stock floors are much cleaner. might be alot more work. but they are gangster. i think my next truck will be a sfbd. but a traditional isnt bad either. and id just do a full frame back if your going to do a sfbd. but either i respect haha. btw cab plus' are a pain. lol. i have pics in my build log of how i did mine though. if you need visual lhelp

channel is the way to go kinda like trad. but you cut over the frame rails and let it fall to rockers you wont loose head room like trad and you dont have to worry about rebulding the frame

I like my traditional because it was less work, there's still room for mufflers under the floor, and there's still enough headroom in the truck to not worry about it.

If I build another mazda Im pretty sure it will be stockfloor body dropped. I did a traditional on my old truck,I just didnt like the headroom loss and other interior details. I personally never liked the way the floorpan looks after a channel and it seems like carpeting would be a pain in the ass. Just my 2 cents.

iv done both and i will say they both have there good and bad..traditional, room under for things, sfbd, room inside for things... i would say i like the sfbd because of the more work, not sayin its a lazy way, they are both hard but cutin and letin drop is the "fast way" to get it done
