All 1993+ ranger beds are the same. Although the 1993-1997 ranger generations would match your body lines far better than a 1998-2000, and definately better than an 01+.

You don't need to worry about encountering a 1992 or older stepside Ranger. And if you do, BUY it.. they are extremly (as in 15 made) rare. They were known as the "Shadow" edition Ford Rangers and I have only seen 3 in my life. One was questionable as to whether it is a true shadow.

Hey would those beds work on an x cab or not,cuz I tnk it would look cool

I would measure out your xcab and see what it comes out as compared to a stepside ranger. Or compare to a regular cab bseries.

Most older trucks kept the same size bed and extended the frame. It wasn't until the 2000's or so when they started making those retarded mini beds.

It should fit though. Like I said, take measurements before you commit and buy one. That way you don't end up having to resell. If you can set it on there just to mock it up and make sure you like it.

not right off it wont fit... you would have to move the axle back as the excab truck the axle sets more forword then the stdcab trucks.. i have one done already.. and i plan on the next truck being an excab so i can do this to it
