Hey guys, I want to replace my stock antenna on my 1991 B2200, with one of the short black ones. What all is involved with removing the current antenna. Thanks.

It's pretty easy, it just unbolts from the antenna base. Got any pics to what you are replacing it with?

Usually the stock antenna is a one piece unit that it retractable. To remove it you have to pull the inner fender liner and remove the whole unit. The antenna cable runs all the way into the cab of the truck and behind the radio. You'll have to rerun all that with the new antenna. If your antenna has been replaced before and is an aftermarket one that the antenna mast unscrews at the base then you can just swap the masts. Pics of your antenna could help.

OK, thanks.....thats what I was kinda worried about, having to take the inner fender off to access it. Yah, the antenna is the onriginal. The one I purchased has threads on the end that mounts to the fender. Not sure how badly I want to replace it now.
