B2600 4X4 box on a B2200

I am curious, has anyone put a B2600 4X4 box on a B2200? I have a 86 B2200. The box has been shaved and all the work done, but theres a ton of rust I would rather not deal with. I plan to change the box and start fresh. Just curious if anyone has put a 4X4 box on their old B2200? If its doable I found one that I just need to take measurements on.

yup as long as it is from the same style truck as far as cabs go... if you have a reg cab, you can use a box from a 4x4 reg cab truck. if you have an extended cab, then you need the box from the ext cab 4x4 trucks...

ya its definitly do able but you can put a reg cab 4x4 box on a extra cab you just need to do alot of work re doing the rear end to line up properly but I do have a b2200 with the 4x4 box on my reg cab and here is a pic.


I know the box is not level with the cab yet but thats because I still need to body drop the box but here is the B2600i hood the 4x4 fenders and 4x4 box on a B2200

Thats great. Im interested in the flare look. Do I need special end caps for my bumper for the fenders? I bought an entire new bumper to piece together. If I need new end caps better get them before I put it together.

I managed to find a 2600i 4x4 hood for $100 today.

Ya you need to get the 4x4 end caps. Thats a good deal on the hood. I got all the 4x4 sheet metal and doors, valance,tach gauge cluster which is in miles an hour, back bumper,and another diributor for 400 on friday to do the extra cab I have.
