I see that a lot of y'all have mounted speakers in the doors. To my knowledge, Mazda never intended any wiring of any sort for the doors (pwr windows, locks, keyless, speakers, etc).

I'm currently working on keyless, and just wondered what you've done to get wiring to the doors.

pull the fender off, there is a flat spot there that you can drill through and pass wires into the cab.. Then while the fender is off you can also drill a hole in the door.

This may seem like a lot of work, but trying to drill these holes with the fender on is a real PAIN IN THE ASS, especially since where you are trying to drill is so hard to get to with the fender on and so easy with the fender off.

I've seen other people who half ass it and dill where its convienient for themselves, they either get the wire smashed in the jamb or they go from behind the weather stripping to in front of it, causing an air leak in the weather stip and then a whistle.

Pull the fender, you'll see the spot right away, its even half circled like they intended wire to go through there. If you do it right, you can use a rubber wire holder and it stays sealed, and doesnt bend the wire too much when you open the door.

Russ, I did as you said and it worked out pretty clean. It was very easy with the fender off, it just pisses me off that we need to do so much work to get to the fenders: wipers, cowl, grill, corner lights, inner fender...all to route some damn wire!
