Sheetmetal dash

has anyone here built a sheetmetal dash? i need to know what size metal to get. it is going to house a 10 or a 12 inch sub. thanks for the help.

i dont think the sub would sound that great in a metal box imo

i can make anything sound good! haha. but really i can make the box out of glass and mold it to the bottom of the dash. i just dont want to mount something that heavy to a fiberglass dash. it may work fine but i'm not sure. i do tons of fiberglass, kevlar and carbon fiber work but not too sure if i want a dash made out of it with the design i am coming up with.

if maztang can make that front bumper that straight from scratch...im sure he can build a 1/2 way decent box! -bf

i would love to see a sheet metal dash hell i would buy one if there were made for sell.

sheet metal would be hard...unless you are gonna keep raw metal as the finish, you might as well do wood and glass....

if you mean the phantom grille than i wish i could take the credit for that. i just installed it. mine would probably look more like a tic tac toe game. haha. i am much better with fiberglass so i am leaning more to it. i can do everything with sheetmetal except weld. my skills need brushing up on.
