Theres the red yellow and black wires.. Blacks ground the other two are 12 volt constant and Acc. If I hook them all up black/black red/red yellow/yellow My headunit turns on than right off. If I hook up both yellows and reds together (all 4 together) My headunit works fine but I shut the car off and lose all of my presets.. Any ideas why it wont work right? Am I missing something stupid here...?

okay your yellow is you 12V constant power and you red is your acc. you cannot hook those two together. if you do ya it will work but you lose everything when you shut it off cause the acc is wired up to your constant. what you need to do is find a fuse or wire that has constant power to it and hook your yellow wire to it then find a SEPERATE wire or fuse that only has power when igniton is at the acc position and hook the red wire to that. it will work perfectlyand you wont lose anything. oh ya hook your ground(black) to any good ground on your truck. Make sure its good to or your cd player will cut out on you. if theres paint sand it or scrpe it off so you get a good ground.
