Well i was driving home sat night and i looked down and noticed my dash lights not working, i as thinkin...oh crap i bet my tails are out to..so i check and sure enough, both are out. So I check fuses and see the tail light fuse is burnt, so i replace it and as soon as i turn the lights on, the fuse blows...i havent dug real deep into trouble shootin it yet, havent had the time...is there something obvious that shorts this circuit out, or is it just a wiring issue??

check your wiring near the taillights. mine did the same thing and what happened was that one of the wires was touching the exhaust and burnt through. i would start there first.

Do you have trailer lights on it? Someone put trailer lights on mine and there was a little box which filled with water. Also if you do have lights make sure they haven't dragged the ground cause that will do it.

When you wired in your radio where did you hook the ground from the radio? If you hooked it to the black and red wire from the truck, that is the illimunation wire and it will blow your fuse. The radio ground needs to be hooked to the body.

I figured out what it was when I noted the melted insulation on the ground wire..
